Project Overview

The SWEA Christmas Fair is one of the organization's largest annual community events, bringing together vendors, volunteers, and visitors for a celebration of Swedish culture, food, crafts, and traditions. As Graphic Designer for the Swedish Women's Educational Association (SWEA), I developed a comprehensive visual communication system for the organization's annual Christmas Fair. The project involved creating promotional and informational designs spanning print, digital, and event signage applications. Working closely with event organizers, I translated a large volume of information into cohesive, accessible, and visually engaging materials that supported both visitors and vendors throughout the event.

User Experience

A primary focus of the project was the development of a flexible visual language that could unify dozens of individual event materials while maintaining a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Typography, color systems, layout structures, and graphic elements were established to create consistency across both digital and printed applications. These design decisions helped strengthen recognition of the event while making information easier to navigate.

In addition to promotional work, a large portion of the project focused on creating clear informational materials for use during the event itself. Directional signage, vendor information, pricing displays, schedules, maps, and educational materials were designed to improve wayfinding and support the overall visitor experience. Special attention was given to readability, accessibility, and the organization of complex information within busy event environments.

User Experience

More than fifty promotional assets were produced to support event marketing and outreach efforts. Deliverables included posters, flyers, social media graphics, advertisements, website graphics, banners, and digital announcements designed to attract visitors and communicate key event information. Each piece was adapted to its specific platform while remaining consistent with the broader visual identity system. The resulting collection of materials helped establish a cohesive visual presence before, during, and after the event.

The scope of the project required managing a large volume of assets under tight event deadlines while maintaining visual consistency across every deliverable. Working directly with organizers and stakeholders, I developed an efficient production workflow that allowed materials to be updated, expanded, and adapted throughout the planning process. The resulting system supported both operational needs and visitor engagement, helping create a cohesive and professional event experience.

User Experience

The completed body of work established a unified visual identity across the entire Christmas Fair and provided attendees with clear, accessible information throughout the event. The project demonstrates experience in large-scale event branding, information design, production workflows, stakeholder collaboration, and multi-channel visual communication across both digital and physical environments.
