Project Overview

Source Code Vintage is an independent vintage clothing brand focused on curating apparel through a lens of nostalgia, technology, and internet culture. As lead designer and developer, I was responsible for shaping the brand's visual identity and translating its creative vision into a distinctive digital shopping and archive experience. The goal was to create a platform that felt immersive and unique while remaining easy to navigate.

The project combined graphic design, branding, typography, layout design, and interactive media to create an immersive online presence that reflected the personality of the brand. Every visual element was developed to reinforce a cohesive identity while encouraging exploration and discovery through the browsing experience.

The visual experience for Source Code Vintage was built around experimental layouts, custom graphics, motion-based interactions, and unconventional navigation patterns inspired by early internet aesthetics and contemporary fashion culture. Rather than relying on standard e-commerce conventions, the design aimed to create a memorable and engaging experience that felt unique to the brand.

Custom interactions and navigation patterns were designed to encourage exploration while maintaining accessibility and usability. Motion, scrolling behavior, and information architecture were carefully considered to create a memorable browsing experience. Graphic assets, interface components, promotional visuals, and responsive layouts were developed while maintaining consistency across the site's various sections and user touchpoints.

Particular attention was given to typography, hierarchym composition, and visual storytelling to ensure the experience remained both expressive and accessible. Layouts and interactions were optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, optimizing for performance, accessibility, and touch interactions to ensure consistency across platforms.

The final website provides a distinctive visual identity while remaining fast, accessible, and scalable. The project demonstrates how branding, storytelling, and frontend development can work together to create a cohesive digital experience.

From initial concepts through final launch, I managed the full creative production process, including design exploration, asset creation, prototyping, implementation, testing, and refinement. The project required balancing visual experimentation with usability, accessibility, and performance considerations.

I organized design assets, documentation, and production workflows to support efficient iteration and long-term maintainability. The result was a cohesive digital experience that fucntioned as both an e-commerce platform and an extension of the brand's creative identity.
